Candace Burch, Founder

Bio: Candace is a Hormone Health Educator with a Masters in Health Education and over 30 years of experience in the field. In 2017, she founded ‘Your Hormone Balance’ as a consulting practice, and was later joined by her younger daughter, Ryan Burch to expand YHB's reach to women and men around the world! Candace’s background includes working as a health editor, writer and investigative journalist in London, leading educational patient and provider initiatives for ZRT Hormone Laboratory (as their Director of Education for 12+ years), as well as spearheading "Body in Balance," a hormone testing and rebalancing weight loss program at Metabolic Research Center (a nationwide weight loss company). She also hosts the Women Talking Frankly Podcast with her friend N.P., Kyle McAvoy.

Bio: Jess Suchan is a board certified Holistic Health Coach via the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and takes a 360 approach to wellness, supporting clients in sustainable weight loss strategies, mindset tools and symptom relief via cycle syncing, lifestyle strategies and smart supplementation. As a recovered yoyo dieter with her own 45LB weight loss story, she understands the importance of a balanced approach, free from restriction and fad diets. She has been coaching clients in partnership with YHB for the last 5 years and also offers 1:1 coaching through her custom app. She co-hosts the Solo 2.0 Podcast, alongside her sister, YHB’s co-founder, Ryan Burch.

Bio: Candace is a Hormone Health Educator with a Masters degree in Health Education and over 25 years experience in the field. She founded Your Hormone Balance in 2017, and was soon after joined by her daughter, Ryan Burch (co-founder/CEO). She also co-hosts the Women Talking Frankly Podcast with Kyle McAvoy, NP.

 In the early 2000s, Candace was mentored and trained in hormone testing, evaluation and rebalancing by David Zava (Ph.D., founder of ZRT Laboratory), a prominent biochemist and breast cancer researcher.

Over the next decade, she worked alongside Dr Zava and John Lee, M.D. (authors: “What Your Doctor Might Not Tell You About Breast Cancer”) and collaborated with pioneering researchers and physicians like Dr. Kenna Stephenson, M.D. (lead researcher of the CHOIICE study), CW Randolph, OB-GYN (author: “From Hormone Hell to Hormone Well”), James Wilson, N.D., (author: Adrenal Fatigue, the 21st Century Stress Syndrome), as well as compounding pharmacists, functional medicine doctors and prominent thought leaders. Together, they worked to advance education and access to hormone testing, and the bioidentical hormone restoration (BHRT) model of care.

Before starting her private consulting practice, candace helped develop the first hormone testing and rebalancing weight loss program (at Metabolic Research Center).

Hosted as a collaboration between the Almost 30 podcast and Your Hormone Balance. In their first appearance as a family business, Candace, Jess and Rye spoke to a group of 60 young women on the importance of hormone support during the reproductive years.

Hosted by Health & Wellness Coach and New York Times best selling author, Sophie Uliano. YHB’s founder Candace spoke to an audience of over 100 women with a theme around graceful aging and how to nurture your hormones at every stage in life!

"Love Beauty Wellness Festival," Fashion District, LA

A day long event focused on creating conscious connections and featuring 50+ health and wellness brands in a curated shopping experience. Candace spoke on the panel discussion focused around natural tools and techniques for optimal hormone balancing.

"The Passion Project:" Lunya Showroom, Santa Monica

Hosted by YHB’s Health Coach, Jess Suchan, this event brought over 150 women together to talk about womanhood and embracing sexuality without shame. Candace and Jess spoke on the panel about the main hormonal imbalances connected to low sex drive and libido, including the importance of nurturing a positive body image.

"Local Mercato:" The Griffin Club, Beverly Hills

A retreat style event centered around women’s wellness and clean beauty with pop-up shops and panelists. Candace spoke to a room of approximately 100 women of all ages on the profound impact of xeno-estrogens found in household and beauty care products and how to lessen the load to support hormone balance.

Dermalogica's “Summer School,” Pasadena

A full day event hosted by the global skincare line, Dermalogica. Candace and Jess spoke to approx. 200 women on the main hormonal drivers behind breakouts and “skinflammation” and the role that hormone testing and nutritional changes have in making improvements to your skin health in the short and longterm.

Hosted by SoCal Mom’s, this day long retreat style event was centered around health & wellness activations, education and exercise. YHB hosted a pop-up booth and Candace spoke on the panel to an audience of approximately 100 women of all ages.
